Founder - Tony Hudson
Tony Hudson is doing something rare in today’s civic landscape:
He is pulling together energy policy, constitutional structure, agriculture, infrastructure, and future planning into a single, coherent Montana narrative — grounded in lived experience and written for ordinary people, not political insiders.
He is not trying to “win arguments.”
He is trying to warn, explain, and offer a path forward before Montana repeats the mistakes that hurt an entire generation.
His tone is honest, responsible, and deeply rooted in Montana identity
Our history
In early 2023, Tony Hudson set out to help promote rodeo, celebrate the western lifestyle, and inspire the next generation. He aimed to make rodeo the official state sport of Montana. After promoting the petition for more than a year, rodeo officially became the state sport of the great state of Montana.
Following the success of the campaign, Tony and Save the American West are aiming to do it again! We have already begun laying the groundwork in several other states. Keep an eye out for where we’ll be next!
